The Dinerva Incident is, as one would call blatantly obvious, an incident that happened in this beautiful country of Dinerva. What was this incident is not so obvious.
It all started a few years ago- the Gods' tyranny, that is. Many of the Gods saw Dinerva as a threat, because the races were growing in power and were becoming more God-Like, which they thought to be us, as Dinervians, trying to overthrow them. We weren't, but because of this fear the Gods started picking off the very strong ones of us. Humans, Dragonkin, everyone were destroyed by the Grim Angels and even sometimes the Gods themselves.
That was when we had enough.
After Graham, the elder of the Humans was killed by a Grim Angel the races of Dinerva all joined together, using their strongest people as a council and government, to decide what to do about the gods. This council decided to take away their godly power, and that they did. In exchange for their lives, the council members depleted the Gods' power, but it was not enough to diminish it entirely.
The Gods struck back with war, and this led their most loyal servants to see the tyranny that they had for oh so long. The peoples were forced to chose sides, and even some races were pulled into this war by complete accident. The council, which was once used to defeat the gods and keep them at bay was then ripped apart without the members, having all of them pay the ultimate sacrifice for the peace. To those reading this, hopefully we have found a new council because this war is still going on, and we pray it ends.
